    Mrs. Rosa Bell Chesnut, wife of Alva Chesnut and member of a highly respected Jasper county family, was found dead in bed at 5:30 o'clock Saturday morning, March 8, 1952 at her home in Smallwood township, one and a half miles northeast of Bogota. She was 70 years old.

    Mrs. Chesnut had suffered with a heart ailment for 10 years, but had appeared to be in better health Friday.
    She apparently suffered a heart attack Friday night and was found dead when Mr. Chesnut arose for the day.

    Funeral Services were held at 1:30 O'clock Monday afternoon at the Bogota Baptist church, with Rev C.D. Newsome officiating. Burial was in the honey Cemetery, with the Reese service in charge.

    Mrs. Chesnut was born January 22, 1992, at Dewitt, ARK, a daughter of John and Jennie Richey. She was married to Mr. Chesnut in 1905.

    Surviving her besides her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Mabel Parker of Raymond, Ill.; two sons, Aubrey of Newton and Cecil of Bogota; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Nannie Cunningham of Bogota and Mrs. Bertrice Hill of Little Rock Ark. A grandchild, Mrs. Dorothy Hopper of Casey was reared in the Chesnut home.

    She was preceded in death by a daughter Mrs. Emma Marriott, and an infant grandson; a sister , LIzzie Richey, and a brother John Richey.
    Mrs. Chesnut was a member of the Bogota Baptist Church.
